Following in the footsteps of Michael Jackson at his child molestation trial in 2005, R Kelly will not testify for himself in his court battle to clear his name of the charges of child pornography.
R & B singer, Kelly, 41, told his attorney, “I decided not to testify.”
The trial revolves around a tape of what is alleged to be Kelly having oral sex with his victim, now 23, who, along with Kelly denies that they are the couple on the tape.
A version of the video that the defense used in presenting their case was said to be misleading because it was such low quality, but prosecutor Shauna Boliker said the tape was “the actual nucleus of the case, the evidence centres around this exhibit”.
The trial is set to conclude very soon after the defense rested following two days of evidence in the case, in which many regarded as a low key attempt to convince the jury that R Kelly was in fact an innocent man!
Obviously Kelly is hoping the evidence provided will help him to believe he can……fly?
