The overall winner of the Golden Globes 2008 went to.….The Writer’s Union! No glamour, no hairstyles, no ‘oh’s and ah’s, no tears and no long emotional acceptance speeches this year as we were all subjected to a line up of hard faced, ‘over acting’ presenters who took to the stage to play out a ‘pseudo awards ceremony’ with the inane background talking of Larry King.
With winners such as Johnny Depp, Glenn Close, Cate Blanchet, and Keira Knightley visible by their absence the Golden Globes were a complete wet squib this year.
All we can hope for now is that the writers and Hollywood can all come together and reconcile their differences before we are subjected to the same poor performances of the 2008 Academy Awards.

Britney Spears is getting ready to open the “Britney Spears Celebrity Driving School”
This explains her driving at speeds reaching 100 miles per hour Thursday night in Los Angeles as reported by www.sfgate.com. Spears was seen making a series of u-turns as well. High speed driving and u-turns are skill required by all celebrities in Hollywood and who better to pass along these skills to our youth but Britney Spears.
Other celebrity guest instructors slated are Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Keifer Sutherland, Nicole Richie and Ty Pennington.

Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl and her longtime musician boyfriend Josh Kelley exchanged vows in a small ceremony yesterday in Park City, Utah. According to E! Online, no celebrities were in attendance except for Heigl’s castmates.
The pair met in 2005 on the set of Kelley’s music video, Only You. Kelley popped the question last summer and the two have spent the past 18 months planning for the big day. Heigl told Entertainment Tonight:
“You have a fantasy of this big day, this big moment and the sentimental aspect of it, but I think at the end of the day, I find there is a different level for both of us to the relationship.”
Aww… Now if only Heigl’s character Izzy could get her shit together!
