Victoria Beckham spiced up her floral outfit this weekend when attending the 35th birthday party of fellow Brit, Kate Beckinsale. But not adhering to the unwritten rule of not upstaging the bride, Posh Spice completely upstaged birthday girl Kate who wore a full length black dress and matching black and gold shoes.

Posh Spice, the wife of Galaxy star, David Beckham, not content to remain in the background, went for a pair of towering, shocking pink monstrosity shoes to draw attention to herself in the vain attempt to appear as some kind of fashion icon.

Showing what a ridiculous choice the shoes were, Posh teetered dangerously on the 6 inch heels at the Beverly Hills Thompson Hotel where she partied with friend Eva Longoria who was much more sensibly clad in a bright yellow dress and white heeled shoes.

Jessica Simpson wears T shirt with a simple message, ‘real girls eat meat’, which at its best is probably a double entendre and at worse suggests she once looked at a burger, but for the animal activist group PETA, it’s a chance to launch a scathing attack on the Dukes of Hazard star, Simpson.

The, most probably, innocently worn T shirt has seen Simpson as the latest celebrity to incur the wrath of PETA in their bid to highlight the cruelty involved in the fur trade and aiming their campaigns squarely at Hollywood A-Listers.

So far Kate Moss, The Olsen Twins, Eva Longoria, Nicole Richie, to name but a few, have felt the sharp end of PETA’s tongue and now the girlfriend of the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo, has been targeted!

But will Jessica role over and play dead after being caught with the unfortunate T shirt or will she fight back in the same way as her peers? Ashley Olsen and Mary Kate Olsen have quietly made their reactions to PETA’s attacks known by including tons of animal fur in their clothing collection or fur lover extraordinaire Kate Moss who has continued to sport everything from beaver to rabbit to mink to who knows what kind of lizard skins?

But Martha Stewart, Christina Ricci and Lindsay Lohan have decided to tow the line and have all made it clear, in a bid to keep off PETA’s worst dressed list for 2009, that they will be definitely be wearing the fake stuff in the near future!

Keep and eye on Jessica Simpson to see if she follows in Paris Hilton’s footsteps after she allegedly sat through animal torture videos from China and promised to stop wearing fur. As a reward, PETA removed the “heirhead” from next year’s list.

We all spotted the imagined baby bump in Paris Hilton’s dress this week but did were we all so interested in the ridiculous pose, pout and the amazing dress that Posh Spice wore at Council of Fashion Designers of America Fashion Awards in Los Angeles to notice that Eva Longoria may just have her own baby bump?

Armed with the knowledge that Eva and husband Tony Parker said last year that they would ‘love to have kids’, its not beyond the realms of possibility that the bump is not just the remnants of a large meal!

But as usual the 33 year old star of Desperate Housewives has a publicist who has refused to comment on the pregnancy saying, “We do not talk about clients’ personal lives.”

Oh well, we’ll know soon enough! Hard to keep something like that under wraps for more than 5 months!
