Millions of Harry Potter fans have gone into shock mode after receiving the news that the JK Rowling book Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which is the latest Warner Brothers movie in the Harry P series has been moved from its original premiere date of November 21st 2008 to July 17th 2009.

But why????

Well, amidst all the rumours, the one that would appear to hold the most water is the one that WB just cant risk being associated with a ‘sexy’ Daniel Radcliffe, as he removes his shirt on Broadway and the bespectacled Harry, who remains chaste and virginal.

Radcliffe has recently been running amuck on Broadway with both his shirt removed, his morals in question as he performs sex acts and slays horses in the New York based show Equus.

By the time Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince debuts in 2009, WB are hoping that Equus will either have concluded its run or Radcliffe will have completed his contract.

Hogwarts just wouldn’t tolerate that sort of behaviour which is only associated with the lesser gifted muggles!

”Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe is desperate to play a gay spy.The 18-year-old actor is planning to audition for the role of a boy at boarding school in the 30s who falls in love with his best friend and later becomes an undercover agent in a remake of the 1984 movie “Another Country.”

The film adaptation of Julian Mitchell’s play, which originally starred Rupert Everett in both the stage and screen version, is loosely based on the life of Guy Burgess, who became a double agent working for the Soviet Union, and was famously part of the Cambridge Five spy ring.

Earlier this week, Daniel - who appeared naked on stage in the London play “Equus” - revealed he was interested in playing characters who are exploring their sexuality.Speaking at a press conference for his latest movie “December Boys,” he said: “I’d never play a gay character just for the sake of playing a gay character.”

“If the script was good, and it was a good gay character then, I’m 18, and so the parts I’m going to be getting will be open for around that age range.”

The 17-year-old actor insists he is too young to settle down and is keen to take advantage of any groupies he has.
He said: “Girls who want to go out with me just because I’m famous has never been a problem. I’m 17. I don’t care.”
“Obviously, if I wanted a deep and meaningful relationship then I wouldn’t want to be going out with somebody who is only with me because I’m an actor, but if you don’t a relationship like that then it’s fine.”
However, Daniel is adamant he wouldn’t stay with a girl who called him Harry during sex.

He said: “People do call me Harry. I once had a friend call me it by accident. If there’s another person in the room called Harry and somebody shouts their name I do respond slightly, which is embarrassing.”
