We kind of forget, among all the rumours, photos and title-tattle of the paps and the blogs that there is, and always will be a bond between father and daughter that no amount of slagging and slating can break. And that bond certainly exists between Miley Cyrus, 15, and her country singing daddy, Billy ray Cyrus.

So, it was good to see that the celebrity pair took time to celebrate Father’s Day this weekend, in the same way as millions of other 15 year old girls did around the country.

Although Miley claims Billy Ray, 46, is more like a friend than her father he is constantly there to shield her from the down side of celebrity living.

Daddy Cyrus said, “I’ve always tried to be her best friend and that’s what I continue to do now. She always knows if she needs me, I’m there.”

Having lived his adult life in the spotlight and knowing the business, lets just hope he manages to guide his precious Miley away from the pit-falls that have become the failing of so many other young stars such as Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Amy Winehouse!

Lynne anything-for-a-quick-buck Spears is going to have OK! Magazine knocking down her door after breaching a million dollar contract with the publication to be the 1^st destination for Jamie Lynn exclusives.

Instead of spilling the beans to the rightful recipients, on April 20^th she turned around and told Life & Style how she truly feels about her family. Scandalous much?

I’m a bit disappointed that my youngest daughter got pregnant at such an early age,” Mama Spears stated. Excuse me, but where were you when your then 16-year-old offspring was gettin’ busy? Probably either shopping on Rodeo Drive with Britney or fawning over K-Fed.

Despite her disappointment, Lynne maintains that her little shining star will put forth her best foot in raising her baby: “She really has a way with children – she’s a natural nurturer. I just wish she had waited a bit. Jamie Lynn will be a wonderful mother.”

“I pray for Britney every day to be a better mother,” Lynne continued. “She’s gone through a lot of trauma, but she seems to be coming out of it – and it’s showing in her relationship with the boys. They’re really bonding.”

Wrapping things up on a positive note, she added - “I think 2008 will be a better year for all of us.”

Right. Maybe in a parallel universe where you put your children’s best interests first, you freakin’ stage parent.

The 1970’s television icon and star of Charlie’s Angels, Farrah Fawcett is in a battle for her life against the reoccurring cancer that has been plaguing her for the past few years.

But Farrah also seems to have another battle on her hands. The right to privacy involving her condition and the treatment she is currently receiving.

Following the unauthorized information being leaked to tabloids in May last year an employee of UCLA Medical Centre has been fired.

The ailing star has expressed her need to keep the information private and her attorney has said, “She’s a very private person and she’s reluctant to go public about this, let alone take legal action. She’s fighting for her life.”

This news comes hot on the heels of the sacking of an 13 employee last month from UCLA Medical Centre and the disciplining of several others for snooping into the electronic medical records of Britney Spears.

In December 2007 more than two dozen employees at the Palisades Medical Center in New Jersey were suspended without pay for a month for allegedly accessing George Clooney’s confidential medical records following his visit to the medical center when he and girlfriend, Sarah Larson, were treated for injuries sustained in his recent motorcycle accident.

Farrah is currently being treated for cancer in Germany and sources say she is cautiously optimistic. Craig J Nevius is producing a documentary about the former ‘Angel’s’ battle with cancer and has said, “Farrah has learned the hard way that with cancer, the test is time. At the moment she has no detectable cancer.”
