Although American Idol runner upKatharine McPhee may have lost her recording contract she now has a life long contract, a marriage contract!
Last weekend the wedding bells rang out, hopefully in tune, for the American Idol runner up from Simon Cowell’s show’s 5th season when Katharine married a man almost twice her age. Nick Cokas is a record producer who met Katharine in 2005 even before she had auditioned for Idol that year, and the couple were engaged last year.
The wedding took place in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday and among the 350 excited guests were fellow Idol performer, Kelly Pickler and Mandisa.
Katharine told People magazine how she felt about Nick saying, “…the love of my life,” and that Saturday’s wedding was “… a once in a lifetime occasion and everything is just perfect.”
Apart from American Idol, McPhee has appeared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Live With Regis and Kathie Lee. McPhee will also be seen in I Know What Boys Like, which is currently in post-production
