Some might say, just as Nero fiddled while Rome burned, George W Bush dances while New Orleans sinks, troops die and the economy plummets!
But love him or hate him, you have to look at his dancing techniques (which seem to include his facial movements too) and say, ‘bless him’!
Hosting his fourth and final North American Leader’s Summit on Monday and Tuesday in New Orleans, George couldn’t resist putting on his dancing shoes, first tapping the toes … then shrugging his shoulder to the beat and finally the hoola hands where waving unceremoniously around while he was being twirled by the grand marshal to the sounds of The Euphonious Brass Band of New Orleans as they blasted out “Bourbon Street Parade” at a Chamber of Commerce event.
During his eight ‘anna’s horribilis’ George W Bush has, on more than a few occasions made himself the laughing stock of both America and the world, but will time and history reveal that he was in fact one of America’s better Presidents, as the British now view the once hated and irreverently dumped Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher in the 1990’s?
