Well what a revelation, we had no idea!

The newly wed husband of singer/songwriter (tongue firmly in cheek at this point!), Ashlee Simpson, 23, Pete Wentz, has confirmed that his bride is in fact pregnant with the baby due this fall.

For weeks now, Pete Wentz, 28, from US band Fallout Boy has not only denied the rumours but refused point blank to discuss the matter when being interviewed.

In a court of law he’d now be facing perjury charges or at least charges for misleading the jury, but in the world of celeb, its not admissible!

The couple who married in Los Angeles on May 17^th this year, wrote on Pete’s website friendsorenemies.com: “While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm we are expecting our first child. “This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.”

Meanwhile, Ashlee is set to officially change her surname in honor of her new husband. Isn’t that normal behaviour, nothing honorable about that!

This is Pete and Ashlee’s first baby and is said to be due this fall.

Even if The Dukes of Hazard’s Daisy Dukes’ isn’t picking up little gold men at the Oscars, and little football players in Dallas, she’s hanging in there with the hopes of pulling off a successful music career.

Jessica Simpson, the on/off girlfriend of Tony Romo, quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, is hoping to be ’fully ON’ with the CD purchasing public as she releases her latest single, Come on Over (hasn’t that title been done by another country gal, Shania Twain??)

But with lyrics like “Leave your dishes in the sink. Leave your ice cubes in the sink. Just come on over”, its still not looking good for little Jess.

Those lyrics are up there with Marvin Gaye’s “I’m hot just like and oven’ and Chris De Burgh’s , ‘I’ve never seen so many men ask you if you wanted to dance, looking for a little romance.

Guess writing the theme to the new James Bond movie isn’t a task they’ll be offering Simpson! Finding a catchy rhyming word to solace is probably a little out of her league!

Amy Winehouse maybe a phenomenon in the music world having secured 5 Grammys for her album Back to Black and more recently an Ivor Novell gong for her brilliant composition Love is a Losing Game, but when it comes to self preservation she falls extremely short of the mark.

While out on the town this weekend Amy attempted to camouflage her dreadfully marked skin with a thick splattering of foundation.

With the ravages of her drug consumption and alcohol abuse showing on the face that was once smooth and vivacious, people are beginning to wonder just how much longer Winehouse’s body can sustain her chosen lifestyle.

After a late night out and partying at her Camden Town apartment with friends, Amy was late to Pentonville prison, London, for her appointment to visit husband Blake Fielder-Civil in jail.

Being sent away by prison officers, Amy took a taxi back to her home showing signs of being distraught at having missed Blake.

Amy and Blake have spent seven months of their brief marriage apart due to the former music video assistant’s incarceration as he awaits trial for GBH and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

But taking a close look at what has become of his wife, its maybe a good thing that Blake has not been subjected to the same lifestyle as Amy over the past few months. Maybe when he is finally released he might be more able to bring a modicum of sanity to the troubled singer’s life.
